Hotel Diana
The family
comes first

Welcome to the Hotel Diana Dolomites Living & Taste

Who are we? Your family at La Villa in Alta Badia. We are happy to give you a unique experience in the UNESCO Dolomites, because your joy is also ours.

Simon

As the eldest son of Barbara and Giorgio, Simon knew from a young age that he would be continuing the family tradition started by his grandmother Erna in 1963.
After finishing at the Kaiserhof hotel school in Merano, Simon gained extensive experience in various top-class and Michelin-starred kitchens in Alto Adige and abroad. As a guest at the Diana, let Simon transport you on a comprehensive culinary journey filled with traditional South Tyrolean and Mediterranean specialities. His combined passion for cooking and wine led him to obtain his Sommelier diploma in 2015. Overseeing a sophisticated wine cellar, he takes pleasure in recommending the best wines to pair with his menu.

Simona

Simona and Simon, married in 2015, continue the long family tradition at the Hotel Diana with a healthy dose of passion and dedication.
After completing her studies at the Istituto Tecnico Commerciale in Brunico, Simona travelled the world, gathering extensive experience in the hotel sector. Today you’ll find Simona at the Diana, ready to pamper you from the moment you arrive until your departure. She’ll be by your side at dinner, recommending a good bottle of wine and helping you with everything you need.

Barbara e Giorgio

Giorgio and Barbara Tirel worked at the Hotel Diana for over 40 years. Their love and passion transformed the ‘little’ Pensione Diana established by grandparents Erna and Delfino into the Diana that we know today. In 2015, they passed the helm to Simon and Simona, who continue the family tradition with the same passion and dedication. Barbara and Giorgio are now enjoying a well-deserved rest together with their border collie, Joy.
